Eva ‘La Yerbabuena’
Eva María Garrido García was born in Frankfurt (Germany) in 1970. Just a few days later her family returned to Granada, where she started to dance.
She opened her own school in 1986. She is a temperamental dancer and in 1992 she turned down the La Malena prize that she won at the National Competition in Córdoba. She said that she had not danced the soleá well enough, but that she had danced other dances a lot better, even though she was awarded fewer points for them. She owns a flamenco company with her husband, the guitar player Paco Jarana. She enjoys success all around the world.
