Estrella Morente
Estrella is the daughter of Enrique Morente and the dancer Dolores Carbonell fondly known as La Pelota. She was born in Madrid in 1980.
In this case the phrase “like parents, like daughter” certainly rings true. At the age of just 17 she was already considered to be an important figure in the flamenco scene, greatly inspired by Niña de los Peines. She has performed with her father in a number of concerts. Her first record was ‘Mi cante y un poema’.
