This village belonging to the municipality of Moclín has more than a thousand inhabitants and is located between the towns of Pinos Puente and Colomera, straddling the Sierra del Marqués and Moclín. The town dates back to the 16th century when the Ermita de las Angustias was built.
However, its existence as human settlement begins in Prehistoric times, sharing its history with that of other towns in the area. It is a quiet village where you can hear the sound of the Río Velillos on its way down from the nearby mountains.
