The popular Camino de Cantarranas runs between Vegas de Genil and Vegas de Purchil. It takes you through poplar forests and tobacco plantations, parallel to one of the many canals in the area. This is one of most beautiful rural walks in Granada. The monuments you will pass include the small chapel that belonged to the Third Order of St. Francis of Granada and the newer church, from the tower of which you can enjoy extensive views of the valley.
