Tourist information

This is the biggest of the five districts in Íllora and the closest one to Granada. There are many springs here, each with different properties, the Fuente de Alomartes being the most important. The current population are the descendants of settlers from Salamanca. In the time of Gonzalo Fernández de Córdoba, the flourmills in Alomartes ground the grain that fed the troops and horses that defended Íllora.

Celebration of the Candelaria

It is celebrated in Alomartes at the beginning of February. This day the villagers go to the place known as Water Cave, at the Parapanda Mountain range and they celebrate the popular merendica.
