Ermita de la Virgen de la Cabeza and watchtower

LoadingAdd to My Granada

This Medieval watchtower was built in the 11th century and was used to defend the town. Currently, it is used as the bell tower of the church to which it is attached, called the Ermita de la Virgen de la Cabeza. The local festival to celebrate this saint takes place on the 3rd May. The shape of the dome of the chapel is unusual and resembles a pagoda.
