On the last Sunday of April, the villagers carry in romeria its patron, the Virgen de la Cabeza de Bodijar, a carving in multicoloured wood of the whole body and more than a metre tall. The parade goes from the normal location of the Virgen in the Church of San Antonio de Padua to its Sanctuary, which is located 4 kilometres away from the town, to go back again to its temple. This tradition, which includes prays, songs and dances until dawn, was already celebrated in the XVII century
