Celebrations

This town celebrates its main celebrations at the beginning of May in honour of its two patrons, the saint apostles Felipe and Santiago. Both saints go out together and in consecutive days in procession, accompanied by the Virgen de los Dolores. The following Monday after the celebrations they have the Burial of the Vixen, similar to the ones in the rest of the places of the Alpujarra. Here, the villagers get together around barbecues and enjoy the typical products of the area.
