This Mudejar-style church was built in the 16th century, although a number of restoration projects have transformed its original appearance. The original church in Picena was built mid-16th century. In 1781 the new church was designed, for which it was necessary to demolish several houses. It was completed in 1788.
This is a church with a rectangular nave, with rounded arches on the side walls forming shallow-niched chapels; there is a larger arch over the entrance to the presbytery. The bell tower is at the far end of the building.
