It is one of the oldest and important of Europe and is the only Spanish festival of the European network of jazz festivals (Europe Jazz Network). Since 1980, great figures like Miles Davis, Tete Montoliu or Dizzy Gillespie have been head of poster. Parallel to the festival has arisen in Granada a movement that has given fruits such as the creation of a stable big band, off sessions, seminars and publications.
