Monuments

Built at the end of the 16^th century, this was the first church in the province built in Counter-Reformation style. It was erected on the site of a former mosque, which had in turn been built on the site of an old Roman storehouse. The building works were finished in the 17^th century. The high altar of the church houses the Virgen de la Antigua, the patron saint of the town.
