This church was built in two phases. The first phase began in the 16th century in Mudejar-Gothic style; the second phase began in the 18th century, in neoclassical style and was built by the architects Ventura Rodriguez and Domingo Solis.
It was built in the shape of a Latin cross and is decorated very plainly inside. There is a fabulous collection of pictures in the church that span the 16th – 18th century. The bell tower is also of interest. It has been officially declared a Monument of National Interest.
