Cultural heritage

Situated on the plain at the foot of the Cerro del Zahor, the Fuerte de la Alcazaba is a typical farmhouse tower, known also as the Torre de Márgena. It was built in the 14^th century. Its defensive style indicates that it was used to monitor the surrounding roads. On some of its walls you can see a plastering of reddish colour similar to some of the walls of the Alhambra.
