This convent was founded in 1520 by the widow of the secretary to the Catholic Kings. Inside is a small Moorish house dating back to the 14th century, with a courtyard decorated in Moorish style and a cistern in the centre. The Renaissance-style doorway, with its sculpture of Saint Catherine and the family coat of arms, is of particular interest.
The nuns of the convent make delicious sweets and pastries, which you may purchase through the lathe in the door.
