The people of Pórtugos gather to thresh the crops in the old-fashioned way, eat a delicious stew cooked over firewood and celebrate the end of the agricultural year. On this day the work done by local peasants is remembered and celebrated, namely the harvesting of the wheat and threshing of the wheat by hand.
The festival is celebrated in the first weekend of August.
