It dates from the year 1604 and was founded by the Marques of Algarinejo. It is the unique sugar factory remaining from the 11 that existed in the XVI century. Its last owner, Juan de Victoria, ended up by giving it to the town and the City Council, fulfilling his wishes, restored it and gave it a cultural use. Nowadays it houses the Preindustrial Museum of the sugar cane.
