Access: Access by boat only.

Recommended weather conditions: Moderate breeze (3 force).

This dive will begin in Almuñécar, along Peñón del Santo in front of San Cristóbal Beach. There is a wooden boat located on a sand bottom 24 meters deep about 12 m in length with a large number of stones inside prepared for its sinking. The existence of the wreck is today almost null and widely dispersed.

Many species are found such as congers, flatfish, striped seabream, common pandora, meagres and mediterranean cardinalfish.

Along the starboard part a large sinkhole has formed in the sand, where many species are found such as congers, flatfish, striped seabream, common pandora, meagres and mediterranean cardinalfish; as well as numerous schools of torpedo rays (especially in the summer months) as they are the reason why it is also known as the torpedo wreck.

There is a great diversity of invertebrate fauna species: bryozoans, small spider crabs, spirographs and some species of sponges.

No permissions are needed to dive.

SECURITY

No more precautions need to be taken than normally adopted. The dive has a medium difficulty level.
