A Garden on the Coast
Standing at the foot of the Castle of San Miguel in Almuñécar, this park contains a large number of the exotic plants that grow in this part of the province as a result of its sub-tropical climate and the warm temperatures the area enjoys. Alongside the valuable remains of the Punic/Roman fish-salting factory, 182 different plant species grow here, originally coming from Africa, South and Central America, China, India, New Zealand and Polynesia.
