This anejo of Íllora is the biggest of the five and the closest to the capitaof the district. The surroundings of this village are plagued of rich water births of varied properties, being the spring of the called Fuente de Alomartes the most outstanding among them. The present village was born from settlers of Salamanca’s origin. In the days of the Great Captain, the flour mills of Alomartes ground the grain that it fed the troops and the cavalries of the troops in Íllora.
