This core is located 2, 5 kilometres from the capital of the district and it has hardly 200 inhabitants. It was born as farmhouse at Muslim times with the name of Gabiar Alsogra and since then its history has been completely bound to the one of Gabia Grande. In 1973 they merged in a single town along with Hijar and the residential area of Los Llanos, Cortijo de San Javier and Pedro Verde.
The church dedicated to the invocation of the Virgin of the Rosary, a simple but valuable building of Mudejar style, built in the XVI century, stands out among its patrimony.
