The route following the first European settlers is a circular walking route that is 152 km long. It passes though the municipalities of Castillejos, Castril, Galera, Huesca, Orce and Puebla de Don Fadrique. This route highlights the great historical, cultural and natural heritage of this northern province, where archaeological remains clearly indicate that this was one of the first inhabited territories on this continent.
This project aims to raise awareness and encourage visits to the north of the province of Granada, an area that surprises visitors because it is one of huge contrasts. It has diverse landscapes made up of deserts and at the same time is home to the lush and hilly landscape of the Parque Natural de la Sierra de Castril.
