Guájar Alto

Tourist information

As its name suggests, this town is the highest in the municipality of Los Guájares and is located at 450 metres above sea level. It is also the smallest and the farthest from the coast. ‘Guájar’ derives from the Arabic word ‘Wa-run’ (meaning that it is inaccessible).
