Archaeological site in Castellón Alto

Remains from the Argar culture dating back to 1800 BC have been found on this archaeological site. It had three construction phases. Numerous double burial graves have also been discovered here. The original settlement is partially reconstructed and is open to the public. It is the oldest archaeological site in Andalucía.

Opening times:

Access: Guided tours by appointment at the Museo Arqueológico of Galera. Guided tours take place every hour and last approximately one hour. Guided tours for groups must be arranged in advance.
