According to tradition, at the beginning of the XX century a devastating plague of locust was suffered in the province that devastated the fields of the region where Alamedilla is based completely. In this town, nevertheless, they did a vote to San Marcos and the big wave of locusts passed through without causing serious damages. Since then they celebrate its day every 25th of April.
As the evangelist saint is also fan of rolls, the custom of the celebration of San Antón is repeated again. The day before the people just married go out the last ones asking for money to make the bread rolls. Afterwards they take them to the church for their blessing and the next day they are distributed in the procession.
