The Museo de Alfarería Cueva La Alcazaba is located inside an Arab cave dating back to 1400 and located below the Alcazaba de Guadix. The museum opened in 1998 and has 1500 different pieces of pottery spanning from 1600 to the present.
You can also see carved reliefs – an artistic way in which the different cultures and settlers left their mark in Guadix. These span from 3000 BC to the present day.
In the cave there is a well of Arab construction and two Arab jars from the same period located in the basement room.
