Iglesia parroquial del Santo Cristo de la Salud

LoadingAdd to My Granada

The parish church really stands out in the small village of Nívar. It is built in Neoclassical style on the ruins of a church that was completely destroyed in the Lisbon earthquake in 1755. The building works of the new church were funded by Carlos III, whose royal coat of arms can be seen on the church’s façade. Initially it was dedicated to St Anne, but it is now dedicated to Santo Cristo de la Salud.
