According to a survey conducted in 1754 the church of Ferreirola consisted of a nave, a vestry and a bell tower containing one bell. In the same survey the need to have the bell tower and the roof restored was highlighted. Therefore, the tower we see today must have been rebuilt in the second half of the 18th century.
The building has a rectangular vaulted nave and gabled roof. Attached to one side is the bell tower. Beside the church is the old cemetery, which is surrounded by a stone wall. All the outside is whitewashed.
