Iglesia parroquial de la Encarnación

LoadingAdd to My Granada

Built at the end of the 16th century, this was the first church in the province built in Counter-Reformation style. It was erected on the site of a former mosque, which had in turn been built on the site of an old Roman storehouse. The building works were finished in the 17th century. The high altar of the church houses the Virgen de la Antigua, the patron saint of the town.
