Iglesia de San Pedro y San Pablo

LoadingAdd to My Granada

This Mudejar church was built between 1559 and 1567 at the foot of the Alhambra, on the site of the former Mezquita de los Baños mosque.

The Church is Renaissance in style built in the shape of a Latin cross with a single nave. On the façade there are two niches containing a statue of St Paul and St Peter, each flanked by two Corinthian columns.

The vaults decorated with honeycomb work are particularly interesting as are the statues that date to the 16th and 17th centuries, created by the school of Pedro de Mena.
